Would you like to know whether your public engagement activity is effective?
The best way to know whether your public engagement goals are being realised is to evaluate audience responses. This can be done with a range of different methods, from questionnaires to focus groups. This course introduces you to the process of public engagement evaluation, the tools you can use and practical guidance about how to gather accurate evaluation data.
By the end of this course, you will be able to translate your aspirations for your public engagement activity into measurable outcome statements and develop an evaluation plan to begin assessing those outcomes. To help you enact your evaluation plan, you will gain practical experience preparing public engagement evaluation questions that conform to best practice principles. The course will also help you be a savvy consumer of evaluation evidence and survey questions produced by others.
