Course Content
The content for this course handbook is designed to be experienced in the sequence that they are presented. However, you are welcome to use the content in the way that works best for your needs.
- The first section of the course is the Getting Started Guide, which includes information about setting up your use profile, an introduction to your instructors, navigating the course, and some ways to make the most out of your learning experience in the course.
- The Module sections contain the readings, video lectures, activities, and additional resources. Select page titles within each Module to access the content. Many lesson pages contain additional topic pages related to the lessons. To access the topic pages click on the arrow next to the lesson title and select the topic.
You will find the course outline at any time in the left sidebar. You can also use the navigation arrows on the top right to move to the previous or next lesson/topic.
You can mark each lesson as complete to keep track of your progress by clicking the Mark Complete button at the bottom of each lesson. After clicking on the button you will automatically move forward to the next item in the section. This action can be undone at any time by clicking the Mark Incomplete button in the same place at the bottom of the page. Note that all steps in a lesson (such as topics and quizzes) must be completed before the lesson can be marked as complete.
Course Display
This course is optimised to be functional on a variety of devices and window or screen sizes to ensure usability and satisfaction. If you encounter any issues, please send an email to [email protected].
You can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the icon next to your name. Dark mode will allow you to protect your eyes if you’re planning on learning in a dark environment.
Module Certificate
A certificate will become available after you have completed the quiz at the end of each of the modules. This quiz will ask you about your personal experience with the training programme.

Participant Profile
Although this is a self-paced course, we encourage you to complete your profile.
Your profile will give you an easy way to access important features like:
- view all enrolled courses
- edit your profile information
- jump back into a course where you left of
- access any certificates you have earned
To edit your details information, profile photo, and/or cover photo, select your name at the top right of the page and then select Profile, and the task that you would like to complete.
Notification Preferences
Notification preferences allows you to make choices about the kind of push notifications you want to receive.
To manage your notification preferences:
- Click on your name at the top right of the page and select Account from the drop-down menu.
- Click on Notification Preferences from the settings sidebar.
Accessibility Statement
This course has been created using the principles of universal design in an effort to make it accessible and usable to participants with a wide range of learning preferences and needs. Special attention has been paid to meeting ADA 508 (United States), EAA (Europe), and WCAG 2 digital accessibility guidelines, such as HTML-tagged content that is recognizable to screen readers, hierarchical heading structures, reading order, and descriptive links, as well as subtitles for audio and video materials, alternative text for images, and color contrast (to name a few).
